I receive a bunch of emails talking about where my baby is this week (see references below). Today, the first one I decided to read today was from the Yale-New Haven hospital newsletter. It said…
Babies can cry a lot, often for no reason. Despite your best efforts to make sure your infant is not hungry or has a dirty diaper or is not sick, your baby can still cry and it can be sometimes difficult to get him or her to calm down.
Really? You think babies cry? I had no idea!
Hahahaha. My child screams like a little banshee. For the first 6 weeks or so, he’d wimper before he’d start crying. Then for some reason, he decided that he was tired of giving me a warning and went straight for the crazy screaming.
My good friend, K and I were out and about yesterday with our children. While we were in the car on the way back home, my LO decided he was done and would not stop crying. K looks at me and says “wow, he’s in 5th gear.” I laughed and told her, to hold on because he was only in 3rd.
Sure enough within 2 minutes, my little banshee went from 3rd to 4th, back to 3rd and then went to 5th. He then proceeded to go supersonic. Of course, I apologized to K.
She said no biggie, at least he was helping her milk supply!
Needless to say, by the time we got to my house, both of our boobs were leaking. Luckily, each of our children got a nice big dinner!
