Neither my husband nor I have a history of allergies, so we’ve been following the guidelines for kids without a history of allergies. Luckily, that has meant we could introduce seeds and nuts (not peanut butter though) to him around 10 months.
He absolutely LOVES almonds. Usually, I give him some bread with almond butter or fruit with some almond meal for breakfast. But today I really wanted a peanut butter banana shake, so I made him an almond butter shake. He went nuts for it so I thought I’d share the recipe for you.
½ small ripe banana
4 tbsp whole milk yogurt (we like the European style from Trader Joe’s)
1½ tbsp almond butter
1½ tbsp organic prunes
Blend together and enjoy!
